This guide outlines library resources that are available for alumni and visitors who are not currently Ringling College of Art and Design students, staff, or faculty.

Holidays and Breaks

The Library is closed on holidays, as designated by the institution, and typically operates on a Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 4:00PM schedule during breaks.

Alumni + Visitor Library FAQ

Q: Do alumni have borrowing privileges?

A: Graduates of Ringling College of Art and Design have life-long borrowing privileges at Goldstein Library. They may check out up to 15 items at a time, excluding CDs and games, and use many of the online subscription databases when visiting the Library. Alumni can register at the Circulation Desk for a library card.

Q: Can members of the community use the Library?

A: As a courtesy, community members may use the Goldstein Library collections for research. 

Ringling College Library Association members in the community have checkout privileges at Goldstein Library and can apply for a library card at the Circulation Desk. If you wish to check out materials, you may become a member of the Ringling College Library Association. Individual memberships are $100.00 per year. 

High school arts and humanities teachers in Sarasota and Manatee counties may register for a library card at no charge.

Ringling College of Art and Design is a private institution and reserves the right to limit access to Goldstein Library at its discretion.
