Kimbrough Library

Library's Mission

The Library’s mission is to advance learning and teaching, in and beyond the studio and classroom, consistent with Ringling College’s scholar practitioner philosophy.  Our vision is to be a learner-centered, virtual and physical destination of intellectual, social, collaborative and creative engagement.   We aim to be a dynamic interface for nurturing inquiry, imagination, and inspiration.

Our goals are to:

  • Bring together and expand library, technology, and academic support resources in support of student success.
  • Provide programming and facilities for research, instruction, independent and informal learning, group work, consultation, collaboration, and reflection.
  • Partner with faculty and other creative professionals in developing learning opportunities to achieve student competencies and faculty development.

What do you need? How can we help you? The Library is your partner in supporting the instruction and development of our talented students. On these pages you will find information about our collections, instruction program, staff and services. Feel free to ask if you don’t find what you need.

We are in the planning stages of a new library for Ringling College and there will be opportunities for you to provide input if you are interested.

We think libraries are great places, and we welcome you to Kimbrough Library and our website to discover all that is available to you and our students.
