Library Hours

The Library building and computer lab hours for the Spring 2024 semester are:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Saturday: Noon - 6:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Please note a Ringling College ID is required for access, except from 8:30am-4:30pm from Monday – Friday.

Holidays and Breaks:
The Library is closed on holidays, as designated by the institution, and typically operates on a Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm schedule during breaks. Signs will be posted on the front doors and on social media for closings.

Hours for the Brizdle-Schoenberg Special Collections Center:

By appointment only from Monday – Friday 9:30am-4:30pm, no drop-ins. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I do with books and other items I have checked out?
    • All materials from the Goldstein Library will have their due dates advanced through September 2020. If you have items checked out through Interlibrary Loan, please return those before you leave town. Not sure which is which? Ask Us via phone, email, chat, or text.
  • How can I access library resources from home or when the library is closed?
    • The library has thousands of Ebooks available 24/7 through the library catalog. (Hint: Limit the Availability to Available online.) 
    • You can also access articles, images, sounds, music, and more through the Goldstein Library's Resources A-Z list. 
  • How can I get help with my project even after I return home?
    • Visit the Ask Us page on the library website to contact us via phone, email, chat, or text.
    • You can also schedule virtual Zoom Research Consultations with a Librarian via our Schedule an Appointment link.  
  • What if I have trouble accessing online library resources?
    • If you are having difficulty accessing online library resources, email research@ringling.edu or contact us via phone, chat, or text on our Ask Us page.

Sarasota County Libraries Resources

A Digital Library Card from the Sarasota County Libraries wll allow you to access all of the public library's online resources, including Florida Electronic Library databases such as Demographics Now. You can also use resources such as cloudlibrary and Overdrive to borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks.
