Teaching and Learning Lab (TALL)

Readings and resources related to the Teaching and Learning Lab faculty workshop series.

Introduction

For this session, we will be discussing the ACRL Information Literacy Framework and Critical Information Literacy. The Information Literacy Framework offers a flexible roadmap to engaging students with information, including how to find, evaluate, synthesize, use, create, and disseminate information responsibly and efficiently. Critical Information Literacy takes it a step further by describing Information Literacy through critical theory and critical pedagogy, taking in consideration social, political, and economic factors that affect the creation, publication, access, and consumption of information. Join us to learn more about what information literacy/critical informaton literacy entails and how you can collaborate with Instructional Design Librarians for your own courses.
